tech issues: Game is really gittery and freezes on outdoor sets

Hi, I was enjoying Bonecraft, and the gameplay and graphics were really nice and fluid on the interiors and in the tutorials. But, as soon as it went to the planet, my character no longer moves smoothly and the screen often freezes. This is especially true if I'm exploring the scenery in between missions. I make it about 5 feet away from my sex bot and the game freezes.

It just crashed giving me a "torque memory error."

I've tried turning the setting to the min, which helps. It also really helped to click the sync and buffering options, but I'm not sure why.

I just looked for the system specs on the website, but I can't find any, so it's difficult to know if my not-so-new pc doesn't meet the reqs.

    System specs:

Intel Pent Dual CPU 1.8 Ghz
    2 gigs ram
    32 bit Vista
    Video card: ATI Radeon 4650
(I've updated its driver, and that didn't help).

    Thanks for any help!

The memory requirements for BoneCraft have been increased over what was required for BoneTown. We are suggesting 4-6GB of RAM, with our low end testing being able to run it with 3GB and only on the lowest settings. The recomended and minimum requriements will be up on the site soon.

    CORRECTION
Our minimum required RAM is 2GB, post here if you are having troubles with a system running with this configuration

That's kind of a high system requirement. Considering that it's difficult to find the sys reqs on the bonecraft site, you're going to have a lot of angry people who download the game and find that it doesn't run well.

Personally, I find it baffling that I can run games with more realistic and less cartoon-like graphics with less ram than bonecraft requires. Are you guys doing something incredibly weird with textures or something?

4-6 gigs of ram is insane. You really need to be more upfront about the system requirements if you're going to demand the majority of your players upgrade their ram or buy new comps that have enough ram slots for it.

It's kind of a "what were they thinking???" moment.

Thanks for posting about this. I was thinking about pre-ordering, but now I will wait to get the game if/when I get a new computer.

We are looking into the possibility of a patch that will decrease the Ram requrement down to 2GB from the 3GB we were expecting right now.

The statement earlier about the 3GB RAM Minimum was not correct. What is correct is that our minimum required RAM for all computer except Windows 7 64-Bit machines is 2GB. For Windows 7 64-Bit computers, as a result of those machines only giving half the memory to our game, the minimum required RAM is 4GB. We apologize for the confusion.

We are still adjusting things in to make this final but would like to here back form people with 2GB systems. So, if anyone is having trouble on a system running 2GB of RAM that is not Windows 7 64-Bit, please post here and we can see what the issue is.

This forum can be continued there .
