Please post any crashes you experience with as much detail as posible under this thread.
The major things to note about the crash are:
-What you were doing in the minutes leading up to when things went wrong
-If you got an error message (and please tell us exactly what it said)
-What software and hardware you are using (computer specs)
-Console log files: Every time you play the game a unique console file is created with the date and time you stated the game in the BoneCraft folder of your Application Data folder. If you could attach to your forum post (instruction on attaching to posst below) the console file that coincides with the time the game had its issue, that would help.

I got very annoying crashes which are like after every mission. BoneCraft just crashes and Windows says it doesn't work any more. Sometimes I'm lucky and my progress is saved before the crash but often enough that wasn't the fact. After some crashes It tells me that something with the memory doesn't work. I just played it to make a screenshot of the error message, but now it just crashes without it. I will post a screenshot as soon as i get it again.
I can't upload the LogFile because it is 73Kb big but only 19 are allowed -.-

I will look into the upload size because most console files are going to be larger than 17Kb.
How much memory do you have on your computer?

Possible once-only crash during Mission 5: Who's the Boss
Steps before crash occured:
1. Loaded savegame and from the mission console, switched to Mission 5: Who's the Boss.
2. Selected "Normal" difficulty, went to the squad load-out screen (didn't change anything), and then started the mission.
3. Played and completed stages 1 and 2 to reach stage 3.
4. During stage 3, completed the first objective to kill 15 orcs which initiated the fight with the Warboss.
5. Beat up on the Warboss until he was around 10-14% health.
6. Interacted with one of the three orc girls which run about when the Warboss comes down to fight and began a sex scene.
7. Continued the sex scene with the orc girl while the remaining Space Wranglers killed the Warboss.
8. Screen faded to black while still in the sex scene with the orc girl, began to load the next cut-scene (when the Warboss challenges Fort one-on-one), but neither character appeared onscreen (just the area/background scene loaded).
9. Game crashed to desktop.
Attached is the console log of the playthrough from when I started until I crashed. I decided to label this crash as "once-only" because I'm having difficulty reproducing it (it has a tricky requirement of being able to interact with one of the orc girls before the Warboss dies...usually, each of the orc girls are taken by the other Space Wranglers before I can even weaken down the Warboss' health to "almost dead" status).
But if even "once-only" crashes might be useful to look at, thought I'd post it anyhow.

Hi, i'm having trouble on Windows XP Professional 32bits just close the game, no error, i play for a short time and close after play hours but close again and no error, on this using anti virus security essentials of microsoft, and on the system Windows 7 Ultimate 32bits crash and error allocating memory. Shuting Down. and messege of windows close program or try solution to problem and close, on this using anti virus f-secure, my pc is Phenom II X6 1090T proc, 2x2GB memory 1033mhz, 1TB HD, video Ati HD 5970 Asus.

I have so far been unable to get through tutorial without a crash or hang. For this hang:music continued but keyboard and mouse ignored. console log attached. Final lines:

Have you tried turning down your Texture Detail to low. This will half the texture size in memory and possible fix this crash. Let me know if this makes a difference. And to correct what was said above. Right now our mimimum requried Ram is 3GB for Windows 7 64-Bit machines (2GB on all other machines) and we are hoping by release to have it down to 2GB for those Windwos 7 64-Bit machines.

I turned down all texture levels etc to lowest and played through the tutorial on 2GB XP32 PC with minimal camera moves. This worked, although I had so many rogue polygons rendered from the screen center occluding the display I was playing blind as often as not.
However as soon as the tutoruial finished I got a "Needs to Close" errorbox immediately following the post-tutorial spacecraft falling to planet sequence. I don;t have the erroir texts but console.log is attached.

The patch to upgrade the game from version 1.0.0 to 1.0.2 can be downloaded from this post (http://forum.d-dub.com/showthread.php?165-Version-1.0.2-Patch-Available).
If the patch is installed, there should now be a sub-folder called "BackupFor1.0.2" inside of the BoneCraft installation directory.
Though I agree with maybe making the version of the game that is running more visible to the user. Maybe have it display at the bottom of the screen at the game's main menu (where you can start a new game, load, change options, etc.)?

I have been trying to complete the 4th level for sometime now (the village where you have to pillage and plunder) and it crashes no matter what I do. I am running windows 7 (64), 4 gigs of ram, pretty decent graphic card, Bonecraft 1.0.2, and everything at the lowest detail out put possible. I had some issues going through the other levels but I eventually made it through. All of the crashes have the same message: "error allocating memory. shut down". Some of the crashes may have been due to adjustments that I made but while on level 4 it just seems as though there's too much going on and the game crashes. From reading other post I learned that I'm one of the few experiencing this. I recently pre-ordered BC so my BC beta came 1.0.2 intact and it explains that its up to date if I try to update it with the patch. Is there something I can do to fix this or do I have to just wait until the 12th for the whole game? thanks, hope you can assist.:confused:

I can get rid of crashes by setting the texture detail to "low." Most of the time the Fantasy can be played in texture detail "high" as long as you don't enter the real game. Sometimes I can play high textures in NON-fullscreen mode at a lower resolution than my monitor. good luck.

5.error messaging stating the follwoing allocation of memory or torque memory error
6.game shut down

AAARRRGGHHH! Keep crashing at the end of mis 7!
I finish the lvl but never see the cutscene. Then it saves & I move on.

Can you post a console log file from a time this happened? This might help us see what is going on.
I have that's the problem i have all my settings on low i even turned off lighting and i still get the crash about 15 minutes into the game
Have you tried turning your Texture Detail to Low? This might help with the crash you are having.
Yes I Have I tried everything I could before Posting up here on the forum, repairing installation to giving it high priority , to lowest setting possible and I only play it when nothing else is running on my pc, so when im playing it it the only program running
p.s I even made sure all my drivers are updated. i know my processor can handle it cause it the same type of processor needed to run bonetown and i played bonetown with out it crashing once.

Our comps are pretty similar. I upgraded to 4 gigs of ram, and I can only play that level on the lowest of low settings. Otherwise it crashes. When it doesn't crash it's jittery and sloggish.

Games been running very well, I'm running on full settings sound and graphics excellent.
However I got to the end and credits then you end up in brothel and I got to the fourth booth and all I got was a black screen but I could hear them all carrying on in the background and when i punch I could here that too but with black screen.
When i try to exit using windows key the game minimises but the mouse pointer it not controllable its stuck in the top left hand screen even when I try to minimise game using Ctrl/alt/delete it will not let me use the mouse pointer to select the game in task manager but using tab to select it and the continuously hitting enter or delete the game closes.
I will try the game again it may be just a glitch on my system as game ran OK all way through as far as I'm concerned.

Yo, I have .3 update. I got to lvl 3 w/ all high settings w/ no crashing.
So I stopped & went to Fantasy mode. Since I first installed I've never seen ppl
in there. I hear them but no see. I expected the same this time but instead upstairs
there was a blue elf banging. I walked up to them but there was no options,
then poof! gone. then as i walked around & turned my head it sounded like a gay elf
spawned then CRASH!
My fantasy mode hates me. :(

Version is better printed in the console.log that displayed onscreen IMHO. But yes it shoukd be somewhee on the main menu also.
I installed 1.0.2 patch and also added 2GB RAM to my XP Pro 32 bit which brought PC RAM up to 3.5GB. Since then I've had far fewer crashes or "outspilling" polygon renders. Crashing on resource failure is pretty lame though.

This is an issue with the 1.0.3 Patch that has been fixed for the final release. A file was excluded from the 1.0.3 Patch, I problem that will not happen again.

game crashed.
I have completed game and was in brothel, then came out and started back tracking, was only playing for about 2 minutes the game screen went black but could here me still doing things in the background but could not see any thing then game crashed and shutdown, back to desktop.
I also noted that when you get to the larger one eye monsters that some of the pods when shot just disapear no sound and have a slight delay.
I will say the game ran pretty well overall.
Running game on full spec.
